Judy O'Sullivan has extensive work experience in the healthcare sector. Judy started their career as a Cardiac Nurse at the Royal Brompton Hospital in 1999 and worked there until 2002. Judy then joined the British Heart Foundation (BHF) in 2002 and held various roles, including Senior Cardiac Nurse, Heart Helpline Manager, Head of Heart Matters, and Assistant Programme Director. Judy became the Director of Services and Clinical Lead at BHF in 2015, where they oversaw the delivery of innovation funding streams to support better health and care for people affected by heart and circulation diseases. In 2019, they took on the additional role of Director of Health Innovation Programmes, overseeing major funded health programs.

Judy O'Sullivan completed their education in a chronological manner. Judy first pursued a degree in Nursing, specializing in Cardiac Nursing, at King's College London from 1997 to 1998.
