Jinny Bell

Jinny Bell has extensive experience in the field of Physics education. Jinny is currently serving as the Director at ChatPhysics which they joined in January 2022. Prior to this, they held the position of Head of Physics at Brooke Weston Trust, Guilsborough Academy, and Wreake Valley Academy Trust, from 2021 to present, 2018 to 2021, and 2014 to 2018 respectively. Jinny started their teaching career at THE BEDFORD ACADEMY as a Teacher of Physics (NQT) from July 2013 to August 2014. Before that, they worked as a Teacher of Science (GTP) and Science Technician & Co-tutor at Wreake Valley Academy Trust from August 2009 to June 2013. In addition to their mainstream teaching roles, Jinny also worked as a Private Tutor at First Tutors from June 2011 to June 2013, providing comprehensive support in Maths, Science, French, and English Language across various key stages.

Jinny Bell completed their education in a chronological manner. Jinny began their academic journey at King Edward VII Community College from 2004 to 2006, where they obtained A levels in Biology, Maths, Further Maths, and Physical Education. Following that, they attended Loughborough University for their undergraduate studies from 2006 to 2009, where they received a BSc in Human Biology.

Later on, from 2022 to 2025, Jinny studied at UCL and pursued an MSc degree in Physics and Engineering in Medicine. Jinny also acquired additional certifications during their educational journey. In 2023, they obtained the NPQLT (National Professional Qualification for Leading Teaching) from the Ambition Institute. Furthermore, in 2022, they completed a certification program titled "Leading Health and Safety in your science department 2021/2022" offered by STEM Learning.
