Thiago Athayde

Thiago Athayde has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Thiago began their career as a Summer Intern at Banco Santander in 2008 before interning at Booz & Company in 2009. In 2010, they worked as a Trainee at Citi. Thiago then transitioned to Virtus BR Partners, where they served as an M&A Analyst from 2011 to 2013. Thiago subsequently joined Cartesian Capital Group as a Summer Associate in 2014. In 2015, Thiago became an Associate at Lazard, a role they held until 2017 when they joined Brookfield Asset Management as a Senior Associate in Renewables. Over the years, they have held various positions at Brookfield, including Vice-president in Private Equity and currently Senior Vice President. In 2021, Thiago joined Aldo Componentes Eletronicos as their Chief Financial Officer.

Thiago Athayde completed their Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the Instituto Tecnológico de Aeronáutica - ITA in 2009. Thiago then pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Accounting and Finance from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business, graduating in 2015.
