Nonresident Senior Fellow at Brookings

Egon Terplan is a seasoned policy advisor and academic with extensive experience in transportation and regional planning. Current positions include Senior Policy Advisor in a self-employed capacity, Senior Fellow at the Institute of Transportation Studies Berkeley, and Nonresident Senior Fellow at The Brookings Institution. Additionally, Egon Terplan holds the Robert S. Cornish Endowed Chair of Regional Planning and serves as a Lecturer in City & Regional Planning at the University of California, Berkeley. Previously, Egon Terplan was the Senior Advisor for Economic Development and Transportation in the Office of California Governor Gavin Newsom. Egon Terplan obtained a Master of City and Regional Planning (MCP) from the University of California, Berkeley, between 1999 and 2001, and a bachelor's degree from Swarthmore College from 1992 to 1996.
