Salman Khan has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Salman began their career in healthcare as a Trauma Surgery subintern at Henry Ford Hospital, where they conducted research that led to a published case report. Salman also gained experience in general surgery subinternship at Cleveland Clinic. Following this, Salman worked as a Product Manager at GlaxoSmithKline.

Salman then transitioned to consulting, starting at McKinsey & Company as a Healthcare Management Consultant. Here, they advised clients in various sectors, including biopharmaceuticals, health systems, health insurance, and financial services, on topics such as R&D, commercial strategies, and M&A transactions.

Their most recent role is the Chief Executive Officer of National Foot & Ankle Partners. Here, Salman is leading an effort to transform the podiatric practice experience for foot & ankle specialists across the country, with a focus on empowering specialists to focus solely on patient care.

Salman earned their M.B.B.S degree in Medicine from there. Following that, they attended Yale University School of Medicine from 2008 to 2009, where they completed a Postdoctoral Fellowship in Cardiothoracic Surgery/Vascular Biology.
