Salman Khan

Salman Khan has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Salman began their career in healthcare as a Trauma Surgery subintern at Henry Ford Hospital, where they conducted research that led to a published case report. Salman also gained experience in general surgery subinternship at Cleveland Clinic. Following this, Salman worked as a Product Manager at GlaxoSmithKline.

Salman then transitioned to consulting, starting at McKinsey & Company as a Healthcare Management Consultant. Here, they advised clients in various sectors, including biopharmaceuticals, health systems, health insurance, and financial services, on topics such as R&D, commercial strategies, and M&A transactions.

Continuing their consulting career, Salman joined The Boston Consulting Group as a Principal in their Healthcare Practice. Salman focused on healthcare-related projects during their time there.

Salman further expanded their healthcare expertise at Zocdoc, where they served as the Head of Enterprise & Client Operations. Salman led multiple operational teams and successfully expanded operations, attracting and retaining clients in a competitive market.

Following their tenure at Zocdoc, Salman became the Managing Director at The Ertiqa Group, where they ran a thriving management consulting practice focused on the healthcare industry. Salman worked with clients across health insurance, private equity-backed providers, global pharmaceuticals, and Big Tech companies focused on healthcare.

Salman also had the opportunity to work as the Chief Executive Officer in Residence at The Brydon Group, partnering with entrepreneurs to acquire and grow businesses.

Their most recent role is the Chief Executive Officer of National Foot & Ankle Partners. Here, Salman is leading an effort to transform the podiatric practice experience for foot & ankle specialists across the country, with a focus on empowering specialists to focus solely on patient care.

Salman Khan attended Beaconhouse Public School where they pursued University of Cambridge Advanced Levels in Premed. Afterwards, they enrolled at Aga Khan University from 2001 to 2006. Salman earned their M.B.B.S degree in Medicine from there. Following that, they attended Yale University School of Medicine from 2008 to 2009, where they completed a Postdoctoral Fellowship in Cardiothoracic Surgery/Vascular Biology.
