Awaiss Mirza

Awaiss Mirza has extensive work experience in various roles and positions. Awaiss is currently the Head of Global Sales Training and Development at BSI since July 2021. Prior to that, they worked at IMI Precision Engineering from 2013 to 2021, where they held the position of Global Sales Enablement and Training Manager, responsible for designing and implementing a sales training program and standard sales processes and tools. Awaiss also served as the UK Sales Manager for Norgren Express during their time at IMI. Before joining IMI, Awaiss worked as the Business Unit Director at Flare UK Ltd from 2010 to 2012. Awaiss also held the role of Business Unit Controller at Tactical Solutions from 2008 to 2010. Earlier in their career, Awaiss worked at Plantronics Ltd as the UK Sales Manager, Korsnas Packaging as the UK/Ireland Sales Director, and Michelin Tyre Plc in various roles such as Sales Manager, Training Instructor, Account Manager, and Industrial Engineer.

Awaiss Mirza completed their education with a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Staffordshire University in 1989. Prior to that, they attended Handsworth Grammar School from 1982 to 1989. After completing their Bachelor's degree, they pursued a postgraduate diploma (PgD) in Computer Aided Engineering from Staffordshire University in 1993. Following that, they obtained a Master's degree (MSc) in Computer Aided Engineering from the same university in 1995.
