Mahela Wickramasekara

Mahela Wickramasekara has worked in the tech industry since 2006, beginning as a Software Engineer at SasiaNet (Pvt) Ltd. Mahela then moved to hSenid Mobile Solutions (Pvt) Ltd in 2008 as a Software Support Engineer. In 2010, they became a QA/Release Manager at Motopia/ mConnect (Pty) Ltd/ 2morowmobile (Pty) Ltd. Mahela then joined Virtusa in 2011 as an Engineer - Technology Services. In 2014, they became a Senior Release/QA Engineer at Global Media Empire (Pty) Ltd. From 2015 to 2019, they worked at Mitra Innovation as a Senior Cloud Ops Engineer and Systems Support Engineer. Mahela then moved to :Different in 2019 as a Senior DevOps Engineer. In 2021, they joined Nuri as a Senior DevOps Engineer and is currently working as a DevOps Engineer at buynomics since 2022.

Mahela Wickramasekara completed their BSc in IT from BCS between 2004 and 2007. Mahela also attended Rahula College between 1992 and 2001. Mahela has obtained certifications from Lynda.com, Amazon Web Services (AWS), and Sun Microsystems, including Windows Server 2012 R2: Configuring Hyper-V (obtained in September 2017), AWS Certified Solutions' Architect - Associate (obtained in November 2018), SCBCD, SCJP, and SCWCD.
