Yizhe Zhu

Yizhe (Ethan) Zhu is a Senior Research Scientist at ByteDance, specializing in GenAI/AIGC with a focus on multimodal image and video generation and editing, as well as personalization, and has launched impactful effects such as AI portrait and AI Everywhere. Prior experience includes work as a Research Scientist at ByteDance on GAN-related effects, a Research Assistant at Rutgers University with research on zero-shot learning and video segmentation, and internships at NEC Laboratories America and Hikvision USA, where contributions involved sequential variational autoencoders and generative models. Yizhe Zhu holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Rutgers University, a Master's Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Missouri-Columbia, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Telecommunications Engineering from Shanghai University.
