Ian Walls

Ian Walls has a diverse work experience in the library and technology fields. Ian is currently the FOLIO Implementation Lead at ByWater Solutions, where they began in April 2019. Prior to that, Ian worked at the University of Massachusetts Amherst as the Web Services and Emerging Technologies Librarian from January 2012 to April 2019. Ian also worked at ByWater Solutions as the Lead Development Specialist from March 2010 to January 2012. Earlier in their career, Ian served as the Systems Integration Librarian at NYU Medical Center, where they migrated the Integrated Library System and calendaring/scheduling solution. Ian also gained experience as a Web Development Graduate Assistant and GSLIS Graduate Assistant at the University of Rhode Island from August 2006 to May 2008.

Ian Walls earned their BA in Mathematics and Philosophy from the University of Washington from 2001 to 2004. Ian then pursued further education at the University of Rhode Island, where they completed their Masters in Library Science and Computer Science from 2005 to 2008.
