Alysse Cybart

EV President at CalBaptist Racing - Formula SAE Team

Alysse Cybart has a diverse work experience that spans various industries and roles. Starting in 2016, they were a Student Intern at BUILT BY GIRLS, where they had the opportunity to beta test upcoming programs at companies like Amazon and Maker Nexus. During their time there, they were empowered to be a leader as a woman in engineering and create new opportunities in their community.

In 2019, Alysse joined Amazon as a Product Tester Intern, troubleshooting Arduinos and C++ code for STEM camps. Alysse gained technical insight into a professional working environment and team dynamics, which they implemented in their school projects and involvement with the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE).

During the same period, they also worked at Maker Nexus as a Product Tester Intern. In this role, they further developed their skills and expertise in testing and evaluating products.

In 2019, Alysse founded and served as the President and Founder of the YMCA Engineering Club at The Y (YMCA). Through this role, they created better opportunities for young women and men in STEM by inviting key speakers from companies like Amazon, Google, and Apple to share their knowledge and inspire the next generation of engineers.

From 2016 to 2020, Alysse was actively involved in The Institute for Cultural Communicators, serving as a Student Mentor, Vice President, and eventually President of the club. This organization aimed to turn ordinary students into extraordinary leaders by developing their competence, character, and connection.

In their most recent role, Alysse joined CalBaptist Racing - Formula SAE Team in 2021. Alysse started as an EV Powertrain Intern, where they contributed to the development of electric powertrain systems. In 2022, they were promoted to EV Powertrain Junior Lead, taking on more responsibilities and leadership in the team. In 2023, they became the EV President, overseeing the overall operations and direction of the team.

In 2023, Alysse also had the opportunity to work as a Manufacturing Controls Intern at Tesla, further expanding their knowledge and skills in the automotive industry.

Outside of their professional work, Alysse also worked as a Piano Teacher from 2017 to 2022, sharing their passion for music with their students.

Alysse Cybart has a high school diploma from Ocean Grove Charter Highschool, which they earned in 2020. Alysse then attended Gavilan College from 2018 to 2021 but didn't earn a degree there. In 2020, they transferred to The Master's University, where they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Pre-Engineering until 2021. Currently, they are enrolled at California Baptist University, working towards a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, which is expected to be completed in 2024.
