Sara Monaco Björkman

Sara Monaco Björkman has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of clinical research and quality assurance in the pharmaceutical industry. Sara currently holds the position of GCP QA Director at Calliditas Therapeutics AB, starting in November 2021. In their previous role as a Pharmaceutical Inspector GCP at Läkemedelsverket, they worked from February 2019 to November 2021. Before that, Sara worked at Galderma as a QA Supplier Control Manager from January 2018 to February 2019 and as a Senior Clinical Research Associate from January 2016 to January 2018. Sara also gained valuable experience as a Senior Clinical Research Associate at INC Research from March 2011 to January 2016 and at Smerud Medical Research from November 2006 to March 2011. Additionally, Sara worked as a Clinical Research Associate at ICON Clinical Research in 2006 and as a Research Assistant at PPD from January 2006 to May 2006. Sara began their career as a Handling Officer at Medical Products Agency Läkemedelsverket from November 2004 to January 2006.

Sara Monaco Björkman attended Uppsala University from 1999 to 2004 and earned a degree in Pharmacy.
