Nikolaos Giagtzoglou has a long history of work experience in the scientific field. Nikolaos began their career in 2004 as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Baylor College of Medicine. In 2013 they were promoted to Instructor at the same institution. In 2015, Giagtzoglou moved to Biogen as a Research Scientist. In 2019, they were promoted to Senior Scientist at Amgen. In 2020, they joined Astellas Pharma US as a Principal Scientist. Most recently, in 2021, they were appointed as Associate Director, Head of Discovery, CNS at CAMP4 Therapeutics.
Nikolaos Giagtzoglou has a comprehensive educational background. Nikolaos obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Biology from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Department of Biology in 1996-1997. Nikolaos then went on to receive a Master's Degree in Molecular Genetics from University of Leicester, Department of Genetics in 1997-2004. Nikolaos completed their education with a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Biology from University of Crete, Department of Biology in 2004-2021. Most recently, they earned a Master of Liberal Arts in Bioinformatics from Harvard Extension School in 2016-2021. In addition to their academic qualifications, Nikolaos Giagtzoglou has also obtained numerous certifications from institutions such as DataCamp, Coursera, and edX.
