Deborah Hawkes

Deborah Hawkes, PhD, has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over multiple industries and roles. Deborah is currently serving as the Chief Operating Officer at CAN Community Health since April 2021. Prior to this, they held the positions of EVP & CAO, Chief Administrative Officer, and SVP, Chief People & Culture Officer at the same company.

In addition to their role at CAN Community Health, Deborah also holds positions on the Board of Directors at CareerSource Suncoast since November 2022 and Manatee Technical College since June 2021.

Deborah'sprevious experience includes serving as the Vice President of Operations at Altisource from 2019 to 2020, as well as holding the position of Vice President at Change Healthcare from 2016 to 2019.

Before joining these companies, they worked as the Principal Sr. Consultant at Hawkes Transitions, LLC from 2006 to 2017. Deborah also served as a Sr. Program Director at IDEMIA from 2013 to 2015 and as the Sr. Organizational Development & Change Consultant at the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta from 2008 to 2013.

Furthermore, Deborah Hawkes has experience working as a Regional Sr. Manager at Siemens Healthcare from 2005 to 2008 and as a Business Process Improvement Manager at Dell from 1999 to 2005.

Deborah Hawkes, PhD has a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Organizational Leadership & Supervision from Purdue University. Deborah also holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Organizational Leadership from the University of Phoenix. Moreover, they have a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Human Development, Family Studies, and Related Services from Walden University. Additionally, they have obtained a Master of Philosophy - MPhil in Human & Social Services from Walden University.
