Vinod Subramanian

Vinod Subramanian is a Research Scientist at Canary Speech since June 2022, with a strong background in music technology and computer science. Previously, Vinod worked as a Post-graduate Researcher at ROLI, focusing on drum transcription datasets and benchmarking against advanced algorithms. Experience includes a role as a DSP Engineer at Bose Corporation and research in Music Information Retrieval as a Research Affiliate at Georgia Institute of Technology. Vinod's academic qualifications include a PhD in Computer Science from Queen Mary University of London, a Master’s in Music Technology from Georgia Institute of Technology, and a Bachelor’s in Electronics and Instrumentation from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani. Early career experience includes a summer internship at JSW Cement, where Vinod contributed to improvements in the bag counting system at a packing plant.
