Vanetta Brownlow

Vanetta Brownlow is an experienced educator and tutor currently serving as an Elementary Educator for the Canton Public School District since June 2021. Brownlow is also involved with the Upward Bound Program at Tougaloo College, where responsibilities include preparing high school students for college by enhancing their knowledge in various academic subjects. Previous roles include research and handling art objects as part of an Art and Civil Rights Initiative internship, serving as an Alumni Relations Assistant at Pey Academy, and providing academic tutoring as an Upward Bound tutor at Mississippi Valley State University. Additionally, Brownlow has experience in marketing through an internship at the Mississippi Museum of Art, as well as participation in a voter education project with the Mississippi Low-Income Child Care Initiative. Brownlow holds a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Tougaloo College and a Master of Education in Counselor Education from Arkansas State University.
