Taylor Sands is an experienced instructional designer currently with the Canucks Autism Network since September 2015, where responsibilities include creating engaging e-learning experiences for internal staff and community partners and leading the implementation of a new learning management system. Previous roles at Canucks Autism Network include manager of training, training coordinator, onsite supervisor, and support worker, focusing on training, accessibility, and support for children and young adults with autism. Prior experience includes working as a heritage presenter and acting public outreach officer for Parks Canada, program leader for the City of Burnaby, call center representative at Grouse Mountain, camp counselor for Easter Seals Inc., science facilitator at Science World British Columbia, and community leader at Uvic Residence and Education. Taylor holds a Certificate in Educational/Instructional Media Design from UC Irvine and a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies and Anthropology from the University of Victoria.
