Thomas Hoare

Honorary Senior Research Fellow at Cardiff University

Thomas Hoare is an experienced clinical psychologist with a diverse background in mental health services, currently serving as an Honorary Senior Research Fellow at Cardiff University since October 2021. Since April 2021, Thomas has held the position of Psychological Therapies Lead for Children and Young People & Refugees and Asylum Seekers at Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board, focusing on improving mental health interventions for vulnerable populations. Previous roles include clinical lead in Child & Family Services at Aneurin Bevan University Health Board and multiple positions with Médecins Sans Frontières, where responsibilities spanned coordination and strategic planning for mental health programs in challenging environments. Thomas's qualifications include a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Cardiff University and a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Swansea University and UCL, respectively.
