Gord King

Gord King is an experienced professional in program development and event coordination, currently serving as a Program Development Specialist and Field Director at CAREERS: The Next Generation since May 2019. In this role, Gord facilitates meaningful internship connections between students and businesses while promoting youth engagement in education and career exploration in high-demand fields. Previously, at Skills Canada Alberta from September 2013 to April 2019, Gord organized the annual Provincial Skills Canada Competition and led various initiatives to help youth succeed in trades and technologies as both Provincial Competition Coordinator and Project Coordinator. Additionally, Gord held the position of Marketing Manager at Built To Learn from June 2007 to August 2013, where responsibilities included driving sales for daycare furniture through strategic relationship management. Educational background includes a Business Administration degree in Marketing from NAIT and a Bachelor of Management in General Management from The University of Lethbridge.
