Pixan Serna possesses extensive experience in business management and accounting across various organizations. Currently serving as Business Manager in Life Sciences at the Carnegie Institution for Science since August 2022, prior roles include Assistant Business Manager and Controller at the same institution, Controller and Assistant Controller at Asilomar State Beach and Conference Grounds, and Senior Manager of Revenue Accounting/Information Strategist at New Teacher Center. Additional experience includes positions as Housing Intern at the County of Santa Cruz, Program Manager and Program Coordinator at SACNAS, Bookkeeper at New Leaf Community Markets, and Mortgage Loan Processor at Bay Federal Credit Union. Pixan Serna holds a BA in Sociology from the University of California, Santa Cruz, and pursued further education at San José State University and UC San Diego Extended Studies.
