Agnes G. has a wealth of work experience. Agnes began their career in 2005 as a Research Assistant to Dr. Richard Sobel at Harvard University. In 2006, they were an Executive Assistant to the COO at Vanu, Inc. In 2009, they were a Summer Court Clerk at the Budapest Administrative and Labor Court, an Academic Year Law Clerk at the East Bay Sanctuary Covenant, and a Summer Law Clerk at the Public Counsel Law Center. In 2010, they were a Law Intern at the Immigration Clinic of McGeorge's Community Legal Services and a Research Assistant at the University of the Pacific - McGeorge School of Law. From 2011 to 2014, they were a Law Fellow at the American Immigration Council. Most recently, they were Director, Data & Legal at CARTO, where they collaborated with stakeholders across departments on privacy matters, assessed the privacy implications of new products, features, and business decisions, and drafted, negotiated, and implemented all major agreements. Agnes also created and updated contract terms, internal and external policies, and disclosures, and developed and conducted internal data privacy training and education programs. Additionally, they proactively stayed current on relevant industry, consumer protection, and privacy laws and regulations, supported short- & long-term EU & Spanish visas & work authorizations for non-EU nationals, managed contributor license agreements, and represented the company in the Mediation, Arbitration and Conciliation Service.

Agnes G. graduated from William S Hart High School. Agnes then attended Boston University, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) with a triple major in English, European history, and international relations. Agnes G. then attended Universidad Carlos III de Madrid and obtained a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in European Union law. Agnes also earned a Spanish Language Certificate from Universidad Complutense de Madrid. After that, Agnes G. attended University of the Pacific - McGeorge School of Law and obtained a Doctor of Law (J.D.) in International Legal Studies. Agnes G. also holds the Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM) and Certified Information Privacy Professional/Europe (CIPP/E) certifications from the International Association of Privacy Professionals, which they obtained in 2018. Additionally, they are a Member of the California Bar.
