Kathleen M. Erickson

Kathleen Erickson is a partner in the firm's Merrillville office. Kathleen focuses her practice on a wide range of civil litigation defense and has extensive experience handling medical malpractice and healthcare defense matters. Kathleen works with her clients through all phases of litigation, including invesigation, motion practice, written and oral discovery, and trial. She represents hospitals and individual health care providers before medical review panels, in court, and on appeal.

Prior to joining Cassiday, Kathleen worked as an associate and partner at a boutique medical malpractice defense firm in Northwest Indiana where she gained valuable skills in the areas of medical malpractice defense. Kathleen's areas of interest include professional liability defense, specifically medical negligence claims. She has counseled hundreds of physicians and healthcare providers through Indiana's medical review panel process. Kathleen has been named as a "Rising Star" by Super Lawyers every year from 2019 through 2023.

Kathleen earned her degree from Valparaiso University School of Law. Ms. Erickson is a member of several legal and professional organizations including the Lake County Bar Association and Defense Trial Counsel of Indiana.
