Basile Guerrapin

Basile Guerrapin has a diverse background in data engineering, entrepreneurship, and machine learning. Basile is currently working as a Senior Data Engineer at Castor since October 2022. Prior to this, they held the position of Software Data Engineer at Castor from November 2021 to October 2022. From September 2019 to December 2021, they worked as an Agricultural entrepreneur, creating an organic farming activity at Le Champ du Saule. Basile also worked as a Machine Learning Engineer at Qonto from September 2017 to August 2019. Basile gained experience as a Data Scientist at the Ministère de l'Économie et des Finances from February 2017 to August 2017. Additionally, Basile worked as a Computer Vision Engineer at the Pôle Judiciaire de la Gendarmerie Nationale from February 2016 to July 2016.

Basile Guerrapin attended Pierre and Marie Curie University from 2016 to 2017, where they obtained a Master's degree in Machine Learning. Prior to that, from 2011 to 2016, they studied at Université de Technologie de Troyes and earned an Engineering Degree in Systems, Networks and Telecommunications. During their time at Université de Technologie de Troyes, Basile participated in an exchange semester at The Faculty of Engineering at Lund University in Sweden, where they focused on Wireless Communications from 2014 to 2015. In 2019, Basile pursued further education at Campus Agricole Bougainville and completed a Brevet Professionnel de Responsable d'Entreprise Agricole (BPREA) - maraîchage biologique, specializing in Agroecology and Sustainable Agriculture until 2020.
