John Tiebout's work experience includes a variety of roles in HR, operations, and management. John started their career at Tiebout and Zip Associates, an organizational consulting firm, where they served as Vice President and worked with clients such as Alexander & Alexander and Ericsson Network Systems. John then joined The New York Times as a Senior Training and Organization Development Manager, where they focused on developing human resources and implementing performance management systems.
After their time at The New York Times, Tiebout worked at Banner McBride, NA, where they served as a Managing Director and helped client companies improve employee relationships and increase loyalty and retention. John also worked at The New York Times as a Business Development Manager, collaborating with a circulation fulfillment vendor to achieve operational and financial independence.
Tiebout then joined Publishers Circulation Fulfillment, Inc as a Vice President of Human Resources, where they restructured the HR team and implemented training and development programs. John later worked at Common Ground Community as a Director of Human Resources, where they rebuilt the HR function and implemented a comprehensive performance management system.
Tiebout's experience also includes a role at Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts as a Director of Concert Halls and Operations, where they integrated and managed performance operations departments. Currently, they work at the Cathedral of St. John the Divine as the Executive Director of Operations, overseeing the organization's operations and previously served as the Director of Human Resources and Visitor Services Manager.
John Tiebout earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech and Theatre from Hiram College, where they studied from 1969 to 1973. Subsequently, they pursued further education at Southern Methodist University, where they obtained a Master of Arts degree in Clinical and Counseling Psychology from 1984 to 1987.
