Colleen Vorel is an experienced chef with a diverse culinary background, currently serving as the Executive Chef at Catholic Charities West Michigan since June 2014, where responsibilities include preparing nutritious meals for various programs, serving between 500 to 800 meals daily. Previously, Colleen held the position of Executive Chef at AVI Foodsystems, overseeing two kitchens and twenty employees to deliver meals for over 2,000 people at Meijer Corporate Headquarters. Additional roles include Personal Chef for a Prominent Local Family and Hospitality Chef for the West Michigan Whitecaps, where Colleen managed catering services for events. Early career experience includes positions as Deli Supervisor/Chef at Erika's Delicatessen and Sous Chef/Head Chef at Thousand Oaks Golf Club, managing large-scale events and leading kitchen teams. Colleen holds an Associate's Degree in Culinary Arts from Secchia Institute at GRCC and a high school diploma from Grand Rapids Catholic Central.
