Jonathan Lyons has a diverse work experience spanning various organizations and roles. Jonathan started their professional career in 2011 as an Intern for Media and Electronic Communication at Leesburg United Methodist Church, where their responsibilities included expanding media programs and training volunteers. In 2014, they served as an Intern at Centerville Christian Fellowship, managing worship and media ministries while developing community connections for future outreach.

In 2014, Lyons joined Cedarville University as a Personal Assistant in University Admissions, and after a year, they were promoted to an Assistant Admissions Counselor. In this role, they engaged with prospective students and families, managed social media accounts, and exceeded team goals.

Lyons continued their journey at Cedarville University, holding key positions such as Graphic Designer and Senior Class President. As Senior Class President, they oversaw the Joint Council, guided leadership development, managed budgets, and implemented various improvements to streamline processes and enhance student engagement.

In 2016, Lyons joined Student Leadership University as a Program Coordinator, leading event planning and execution while increasing registrations through strategic relationship building. Jonathan later interned at SLU 101 as a Media Coordinator.

Returning to Cedarville University in 2019, Lyons initially served as a Campaign Manager before being promoted to Director of Advancement Operations and Campaign Manager. In 2022, they were elevated to the role of Executive Director of Advancement Operations. In this position, they provided administrative leadership for fundraising campaigns, managed division operations, and supervised an Advancement Services team.

Throughout their career, Lyons has demonstrated strong leadership skills, strategic thinking, relationship building, and a track record of exceeding goals and implementing improvements.

Jonathan Lyons holds a Bachelor of Music Education degree with a focus on Music Teacher Education from Cedarville University. Jonathan also completed a Master of Arts degree in Biblical Leadership, also from Cedarville University. Along with their education, Jonathan obtained additional certifications including the 2022 Circle of Excellence - Bronze Award from the Council for Advancement and Support of Education, the Teamwork Projects Expert Certification from Teamwork, and a 4 Year Resident Education Multi Age (P-12) License from the Ohio Department of Education, which they obtained in June 2017.
