Stephie-Lea T. has a diverse work experience ranging from legal roles to research and policy positions. Stephie-Lea started their career as a Legal Clerk at McCarthy Tétrault, where they worked until 2018. Stephie-Lea then served as a Litigation Paralegal at Shibley Righton LLP from 2018 to 2021. In 2021, they founded their own company called SLT Professional Services, where they held the role of Owner. Additionally, they worked as a Commercial Paralegal at Shopify from 2021 to 2023.

In 2020, Stephie-Lea joined Wilfrid Laurier University, the Balsillie School of International Affairs, and Global Affairs Canada as a Graduate Research Associate. Stephie-Lea conducted research in these organizations until 2021.

Stephie-Lea also worked as a Mentor at Monday Girl from 2022 to 2022. In 2023, they joined Kinaxis as a Commercial Contract Manager. In addition, they have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Honours Legal Studies with a minor in Political Science from the University of Waterloo and an Associate's degree in Paralegal Education from Humber College. Stephie-Lea has obtained various certifications, including CAIDP AI POLICY CLINIC - Research Group Fall 2023, Privacy Professional Certification from OneTrust, and Privacy, Governance, and Compliance: Data Classification and Inventory from LinkedIn. Stephie-Lea has also completed several LinkedIn courses on topics such as synthetic data, privacy strategies, and generative AI. Stephie-Lea T. has obtained additional professional licenses and certifications, including Commissioner of Oaths from the Government of Alberta, Notary Public Commission from the Ontario Ministry of the Attorney General, and a Paralegal License from the Law Society of Ontario. Stephie-Lea has also completed safeTALK training from the Canadian Association for Suicide Prevention (CASP).
