Norman Jolin

Norman Jolin is an experienced consultant specializing in naval and maritime issues. Currently serving as an Associate Consultant at CFN Consultants since May 2017, Jolin also operates as the CEO of Norman Jolin Consulting Services since October 2011, providing strategic level consulting. Jolin has acted as a Naval Technical Adviser for Parallax Films from March 2013 to March 2018, contributing to a documentary series on submarine warfare. Previous roles include maritime writing for Calian and consulting on Canadian defence procurement initiatives for RAFAEL USA INC. Jolin conducted historical research for the Royal Canadian Navy's Heritage team and published a revised edition of "Canada's Admirals and Commodores." With a 35-year career as a Captain in the Royal Canadian Navy, Jolin commanded HMCS MONTREAL and specialized in anti-submarine warfare. Notably, Jolin served as Deputy Branch Chief for Current Operations at NATO, providing strategic military advice. Jolin holds a BA in History from Dalhousie University and a CSC from Canadian Forces College.
