Lyehee Tan

LyeHee Tan has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over several decades.

LyeHee began their career in 1988 as a Signal Officer in the Singapore Armed Forces before transitioning to the IT industry.

In 1998, they joined NCS Group as a Senior System Engineer, where they gained experience in designing and implementing IT security solutions.

In 2001, they joined BT Frontline Pte Ltd as a Principle Consultant and later became the Deputy Director. In this role, they were responsible for establishing the IT security practice and mentoring a team of consultants. LyeHee also took on various responsibilities, including business development, pre-sales, security consultancy, solution architecture, and program management.

From 2010 to 2011, Tan worked as a Senior Sales Engineer at Splunk, providing technical sales capabilities in the South Asia region. LyeHee contributed to the company's expansion from IT search to Operational Intelligence.

LyeHee then joined Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore (IDA) in 2012 as an Executive Manager in the strategic planning office. In this role, they played a key role in national programs related to Singapore security manpower, R&D, and industry development. LyeHee also contributed to the development of the Singapore security master plan and the upliftment of government security standards.

In 2016, Tan joined GovTech Singapore as a Principal Security Specialist. LyeHee was responsible for overseeing security operation projects, including the Cyber Watch Centre (CWC) and the Threat Analysis Centre (TAC). LyeHee also conceptualized the Government Cybersecurity Operations Centre (GSOC) and the SOC-as-a-Service (SOCaS) as part of the CWC replacement.

LyeHee then moved to Accenture in 2019 as a Senior Manager in Security Consulting before joining Cisco in 2020 as a Security Architect. At Cisco, they were part of the regional security advisory team, where they provided guidance and expertise in security solution development for both IT and OT domains.

Most recently, Tan joined Checkmarx in 2021 as the APAC Global Services Director before being promoted to the position of Director of Sales Engineering - APAC, Middle East, and Africa in 2022.

Overall, Tan's work experience demonstrates their expertise and contributions in the field of IT security, encompassing various roles and responsibilities in both public and private sectors.

LyeHee Tan attended the Chinese High School from 1981 to 1984. Afterward, they pursued their tertiary education at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore from 1993 to 1996, without obtaining a specific degree or field of study. Additionally, they obtained the AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate (SAA) certification from Amazon in August 2018.
