Solon Aguiar

Solon Aguiar's work experience begins in 2008 when they worked as a Software Engineer and later as a Teaching Assistant at the Federal University of Campina Grande.

In 2010, they became a Scientific Initiation Student at CNPq - MCT, where they assisted in research and analysis of software refactoring and received an award for a paper they co-wrote.

From 2011 to 2012, Solon worked at Smartiks as a Software Engineer, where they implemented the Medidor de Controle de Tensão software and later became a full-time employee.

In 2012, they joined ThoughtWorks as a Consultant Developer, participating in projects such as building a content moderation solution for the Amplify application and the e-commerce stack for a major magazine publisher in Brazil. Solon also participated in ThoughtWorks' university program in India.

From 2013 to 2017, Solon worked at Amazon as a Software Development Engineer, where they were a tech lead in the consumer engagement division, responsible for planning, designing, and implementing features for the conversational and Spark platforms.

In 2018, they joined Spotify as an Experienced Backend and Data Engineer, where they built backend systems and data pipelines for boosting customer metrics and solving various problems across teams.

From 2019 to 2022, Solon worked at Segment as both a Senior Product Engineer on the Growth and Billing teams and as a Staff Software Engineer on the integrating team for the Engage Platform's Personas Pillar. Solon led the team, reviewed designs/code, and helped other engineers grow.

Most recently, in 2022, Solon joined Checkr, Inc. as a Staff Software Engineer.

Solon Aguiar completed their B.S. in Computer Science at the Federal University of Campina Grande from 2008 to 2012.
