Henry Cooke

Henry Cooke has a diverse work experience in the engineering field. Henry started their career with an internship at ResearchGate, where they gained experience in managing scientific content. Henry then joined Sellafield Ltd as a Design Engineer, where they worked on technical engineering design and mechanical stress analysis for nuclear waste handling facilities. During their time at Sellafield Ltd, they also had opportunities to work internationally, including a secondment to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) where they contributed to the design of equipment for handling radioactive sources in developing countries. Henry later joined the Department of Energy and Climate Change as a Policy Advisor, where they negotiated new radioactive waste regulations based on EU-directives. In 2018, they joined Prakti as an Engineering Manager, leading design work and manufacturing logistics for biomass cookstoves in rural India. Most recently, in 2019, Henry joined Cheesecake Energy Ltd as a Mechanical Engineer.

Henry Cooke attended the University of Nottingham from 2008 to 2012, where they pursued a Master of Engineering (MEng) degree in Mechanical Engineering.
