Ikenna Obionu

Ikenna Obionu, MD, MBA, MPH, SSBBP has a diverse work experience in healthcare management and operations. Ikenna started as a Medical Doctor at the University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital in 2012 and later worked at Otunla Primary Health Center and Barnes Hospital Cardiac Diagnostic Laboratories. In 2017, they joined UAB Medicine, where they held roles in the Office of the Chief Innovation Officer and Performance Excellence. In 2019, they became a Senior Project Manager at the University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine. Currently, they serve as the Regional Vice President at ChenMed, where they have held positions such as Director of Operations Center of Excellence, Director of Transformation, and Regional Business Director. Throughout their career, Ikenna has demonstrated expertise in strategy development, process improvement, and healthcare operations.

Ikenna Obionu, MD, MBA, MPH, SSBBP has a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MD) from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. Ikenna also holds a Master of Public Health (MPH) from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Alabama at Birmingham - Collat School of Business. In addition, they are a Six Sigma Black Belt Professional certified by the Management and Strategy Institute.
