Barbara Smith

Barbara Smith has a diverse work experience that spans over several years. Barbara is currently employed at Cherokee Federal as a Cyber Security Engineer since June 2021. Prior to this, they worked at Moss Cape LLC from March 2019 to June 2021 as a Senior System Engineer and Technical Program Manager. From January 2015 to May 2019, they held the position of Senior Systems Engineer/DevOps at Zolon Tech Inc. Furthermore, Barbara had a long tenure at CACI International Inc, starting in August 2004 and ending in January 2014. Barbara served as a Senior Programmer, Project Lead, and System Engineer during this time, responsible for managing various IT projects and ensuring their successful implementation. Before joining CACI International Inc, they briefly worked as an Information Technology Manager at Critical Incident Solutions from January 2004 to July 2004, where they were involved in setting up the office LAN/WAN and PBX communication system. At the beginning of their career, Barbara worked as a Programmer/Analyst at SI International from January 2001 to January 2004, where they contributed to the development of web applications and managed content for the main website.

Barbara Smith attended DeVry Institute of Technology from 1998 to 2000, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Information Systems (CIS). Prior to that, they attended the University of Maryland Baltimore County from 1984 to 1986, although they did not complete a degree at this institution. In addition to their formal education, Barbara Smith also obtained the AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate certification from Amazon Web Services in May 2016.
