Rudy Meza

Rudy Meza has a diverse work experience starting with their current role as a Senior Analyst/Research Specialist at Cherokee Federal. In this role, they collaborate on Azure and Slack to drive production deployment. Rudy also analyzes and visualizes data in Tableau from a Microsoft SQL Server Database and automates weekly and monthly reports on KPI's using R and Python. Rudy also has experience optimizing and debugging SQL queries and R code, as well as building time-series predictive models and automating data pulls for weekly reporting using Python and R.

Prior to Cherokee Federal, Rudy worked as an Analyst/Research Specialist II at the same company and as a Contract Specialist at Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA), where they maintained a Secret Security Clearance and analyzed and evaluated cost and pricing data.

Additionally, Rudy has experience as a Financial Program Analyst at INDUS Technology, Inc., where they assisted in budget oversight, performed ETL data tasks in Excel, and coordinated financial and management data interpretation.

Rudy's work experience traces back to their time in the US Navy as a Military member from March 2011 to February 2016.

Rudy Meza's education history begins in 2017 when they enrolled at California State University Channel Islands. Rudy pursued a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Economics with a Minor in Mathematics and completed their studies in 2018. From 2018 to 2019, Rudy pursued a Master of Science in Quantitative Economics at California Lutheran University.

In 2022, Rudy began studying at Arizona State University, where they obtained a Certificate in Program Evaluation in 2023.

Aside from their formal education, Rudy has also obtained various certifications. In 2019, they became an IIF Certified Forecaster through the International Institute of Forecasters. In 2020, they completed the course "Business Intelligence Analysis" at UC San Diego Extension. Additionally, Rudy has acquired several certifications through Coursera, including "Introduction to Probability and Data with R" in 2020, "The R Programming Environment" and "Advanced R Programming" in 2023, and "Python Basics" and "Python Functions, Files, and Dictionaries" in 2023.
