Troy Mulholland

Senior Research Scientist at Chicago Blackhawks

Troy Mulholland is a seasoned research scientist currently serving as a Senior Research Scientist with the Chicago Blackhawks since November 2024. Prior to this role, Troy spent six years with the Chicago Cubs, where responsibilities included Senior Analyst in Baseball Analytics and Analyst in Research and Development. Troy's career in data science began at Travelport as a Data Scientist from October 2017 to October 2018. Between 2011 and 2017, Troy worked at the University of Colorado Boulder as a Research Assistant on the CMS Experiment at the CERN Large Hadron Collider. Early research experiences include a Summer Research Student position at Fermilab and another at the University of Florida in 2010 and 2009, respectively. Troy holds a Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Colorado Boulder and a BS in Physics and Mathematics from St. Bonaventure University.
