Austin Sowa

Austin Sowa is a skilled policy professional with extensive experience in educational equity and advocacy. Currently serving as a Policy Associate at the Children's Defense Fund since June 2017, Austin has previously held roles such as Special Projects & Policy Assistant to the President, and Educational Equity Consultant at Reimagining Integration: The Diverse and Equitable Schools Project. Austin's background includes serving as a Peer Advising Fellow at Harvard's Advising Programs Office and Vice President of the Harvard University Institute of Politics. Additional experience encompasses teaching English at Dahuwai Outdoor English School, coordinating campaigns for Teach For America, and supporting operations at KIPP NYC.
