Crystal Ball's work experience includes various roles in the field of human resources and people operations. Crystal most recently served as the Vice President of People Operations at Chime since January 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Marqeta, Inc as the Sr. Director of People Ops & Total Rewards and then as the Director of People Operations from March 2020 to January 2022. Crystal also held the position of Director of People Operations at Pixar Animation Studios from May 2015 to January 2020. Before that, they worked at Big Heart Pet Brands as the Sr. Human Resources Initiatives Manager and later as the Human Resources Initiatives Manager from April 2010 to May 2015. Crystal's previous experience includes roles at Expedia as a Project Manager and Human Resources Consultant, Hewitt Associates LLC as a Talent Consultant, Time Warner Telecom as a Manager of Process and Performance, and Tetra Tech EM Inc. as an HR Generalist.

Crystal Ball has a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Psychology from Northwestern University. Crystal also has an MBA in Change Management from the University of Colorado Denver. In addition, Crystal has obtained a Professional in Human Resources (PHR®) certification from the HR Certification Institute - HRCI in May 2003.
