Corporate Executive Chef at Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma

Brian Owenby is a seasoned culinary professional with extensive experience in high-end hospitality environments. Currently serving as the Corporate Executive Chef for the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma since July 2021, Brian has previously held the position of Executive Sous Chef at the Grand Hyatt from February 2020 to June 2021. Prior to that, Brian was the Executive Chef for Restaurants at the Gaylord Opryland Resort, a prominent luxury hotel in Nashville, from April 2005 to July 2019. Brian's career began as an Executive Sous Chef at the Soaring Eagle Casino and Resort, and included an earlier role as Sous Chef at Treasure Island Tennis & Yacht Club Corporation of Pinellas. Brian earned an Associate of Arts and Sciences degree in Restaurant, Culinary, and Catering Management from the New England Culinary Institute, completing the program between 1994 and 1996.
