Lyle Ginever

Lyle Ginever has a diverse work experience spanning over many years. Lyle started their career as a Network Engineer at IBM Global Network services and later moved to Unisys Australia as a Network Designer. During their time there, they were involved in the deployment of a large Microsoft exchange environment and the configuration of VPN systems.

In 2004, they joined EDS and worked on network and security design projects for Fonterra, the largest company in New Zealand. Lyle'sresponsibilities included wireless security architecture and the creation and migration of networks and data centers for three companies in Australia.

Lyle then transitioned to Westpac New Zealand where they served as the Principal Enterprise Architect. Lyle led the data center migration, refresh, security strategy, and platform establishment projects, covering systems such as Mainframe, System P, VMWare, SAN fabric, DWDM, load balancing, WAN, and data center network.

In 2010, they became an Independent Contractor for Financial Services Compliance Ltd and concurrently held roles as the Infrastructure Architect for Telecom New Zealand and Network and Security Design for the company. Lyle'sresponsibilities included the migration of Yellow Pages out of Telecom and the design of the intranet WiFi system.

Since 2012, Lyle has been working as the Principal Security, Infrastructure, and Network Architect at Chorus NZ Limited. Additional details about their roles and responsibilities in this position are not provided.

In between their professional roles, Lyle took some time off to travel South and Central America in 2003.

Lyle Ginever attended The University of Waikato from 1992 to 1997, where they earned a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Chemistry and Wood Science and Wood Products/Pulp and Paper Technology. In 2012, they obtained a certification in TOGAF 9.1 from The Open Group. Lyle also holds a MSc(tech) (hon) from The University of Waikato, although the specific details of when they obtained this degree are not provided.
