Dan Manchester

Dan Manchester began their work experience as a Web Developer at Needmore Designs in February 2012. Dan worked on numerous projects, including websites for Stumptown Coffee Roasters and Literary Arts. In November 2013, they joined UpTrending as a Web Developer, where they developed and maintained custom WordPress themes for various clients. In August 2014, Dan joined Connective DX as a Senior Software Engineer & Front End Practice Lead. During their time there, they led front end development and architecture for several Fortune 200 marketing sites and assisted with integrating CMS platforms. In February 2018, Dan co-founded Turn Agency and held the role of Co-Founder until April 2021. Dan then worked as the Director of Front-End Development at Concentric Sky from May 2021 to December 2021. Currently, Dan is working as a Web Monkey at Elseloop, LLC starting from December 2021. Dan will join Chromatic as a Developer Experience Engineer in February 2023. Additionally, Dan is the Founder and Co-organizer of the Front End PDX Meetup from December 2015 to March 2020.

Dan Manchester obtained their High School Diploma from Pomfret School in 1996. From 1996 to 2000, they attended Skidmore College and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Language and Literature. After that, they pursued further education at Indiana University Bloomington and completed a Master of Fine Arts degree in Creative Writing from 2001 to 2004.
