James Vellekamp has a diverse work experience spanning different roles and industries. James started their career at Best Buy as a Sales Associate, where they demonstrated strong selling skills and supported sales strategies. James then moved to GameStop as a Senior Game Advisor, achieving sales goals and handling various responsibilities as a keyholder.

After that, James joined Cox Communications as an Indirect Account Manager, where they managed accounts and maintained business relationships. James later became an Area Sales Supervisor at Cox Communications, leading a sales team and providing residential cable solutions. In this role, they also identified new business partners.

James then transitioned to Thrive Networks, Inc., where they worked as an Account Manager, showcasing their account management skills. James subsequently joined Datadog as a Customer Success Manager, a role they held for two years before joining CircleCI in the same position.
