Kelvin Tay

Kelvin Tay has a diverse range of work experience in various software engineering and support roles. Kelvin currently works at CircleCI as a Senior Support Engineer. Prior to this, they worked at Moneytree as a Backend Engineer, specializing in the SmartData team. Before that, they were a Software Engineer at Cogent Labs and Mercari, Inc. Kelvin also worked as a Software Engineer at Gengo, where they documented their learnings on their personal website. Kelvin's early career included roles as a Full Stack Web Developer/Engineer at KLab Inc., a Web Developer at kelvintaywl, and a Teaching Assistant at the National University of Singapore. Kelvin gained management experience as a Management Intern at TripAdvisor and as the Chairperson at NUSSU Travel Service. Overall, Kelvin has valuable experience in software engineering, support, and management roles.

Kelvin Tay completed their undergraduate education from 2009 to 2013 at the National University of Singapore, where they obtained a degree in Computing (Hons.) with a focus on Electronic Commerce. In 2012, they also attended the University of Nottingham for a brief period, studying Computer Science & Business.

In addition to their formal education, Kelvin has acquired several certifications to enhance their skillset. In 2023, they obtained the HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate (002) certification from HashiCorp. Prior to that, in 2022, they became a Docker Certified Associate through Mirantis. Kelvin's certification journey began in 2021 when they achieved the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner credential from Amazon Web Services (AWS).
