Katherine Dolan has a diverse and extensive work experience in law enforcement. Katherine is currently the Chief of Police at the City of Beachwood since November 2021. Prior to this, they served as the Deputy Chief at the same organization. From 2018 to 2021, they worked as the Chief of Police at Cleveland Metroparks. Katherine also held the position of Captain at the City of Cleveland Heights from 2016 to 2018. Katherine started their career as a Police Officer at the City of Cleveland Heights in 2001 and held various roles including Detective, Sergeant, and Lieutenant. In addition, they worked as a Task Force Officer at the Drug Enforcement Administration from 2006 to 2009. Katherine graduated from the Police Academy in 2001 and worked as a Basic Patrol Officer/Police Officer, where they were involved in successful apprehensions, search warrants, and narcotics investigations. Overall, Katherine Dolan has demonstrated a strong commitment to law enforcement throughout their career.
Katherine Dolan obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from The University of Toledo between 1997 and 2001. Katherine then pursued a Master's of Science degree in Criminology at the University of Cincinnati, completing it from 2004 to 2006.
