Akmam Jaigirdar

Akmam Jaigirdar has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over a decade. Starting in 2008, they worked at the Detroit Athletic Club, where they served as a Grill Room Restaurant Floor Supervisor and was responsible for training and development. In 2011, they joined the Youth of Ummah Youth Program as a Human Resource and Vendor Relations specialist and worked there until 2014. From 2012 to 2014, Jaigirdar also held the role of Training and Development Lead-Operations Management at The Epicurean Group.

In 2015, they transitioned to DTE Energy, where they served as the Corporate Human Resources Lead until 2017. Following that, Jaigirdar joined General Motors as part of their Corporate World Headquarters Human Resources team, where they worked until 2019. In the same year, they also worked at Asian Mart Inc as a Human Resources and Operations Manager.

Akmam later joined Benefits & Claims Independent consultation in 2019 as a Human Resources Business Partner and Consultant and worked there until 2021. Currently, Jaigirdar holds the position of Human Resources Team Lead at the City of Detroit, starting in August 2021. Prior to that, in 2020, they served as the Director of Operations and HR Manager at Jaigirdar Investments LLC.

Throughout their career, Jaigirdar has gained valuable experience and expertise in various aspects of human resources, training and development, operations management, and vendor relations.

Akmam Jaigirdar holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from the University of Michigan, with a double major in Business Management and Human Resource Management. Additionally, Akmam has obtained certifications in People Analytics, is a member of SHRM, and has completed courses on How to Rock an Interview and How to Use LinkedIn Learning, all from various institutions such as LinkedIn.
