Charles Richards is an experienced civil engineer currently serving as the City Engineer for the City of Marietta since January 2022, where responsibilities include reviewing site development plans using Sages and Bluebeam Revu. Prior to this role, Charles worked as a contractor for Lyft starting in September 2015. Previous engineering experience includes a position at J.B. Prince, as well as design work for Truss Components of Atlanta, specializing in wood truss systems for various housing projects. Charles’s diverse background also includes roles in sales, customer service, and security. Academic credentials include a Bachelor of Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Virginia Tech, earned from 1982 to 1987.
