Dyana Marie Delfín Polk

Dyana Marie Delfín Polk, MPP has a diverse work experience in various roles within the public sector. Dyana Marie currently serves as the Policy Lead for the Office of Councilmember Kevin Jenkins in the City of Oakland. Previously, they were a Board Member for the Peralta Community College District and worked as a Legislative Aide in the Office of the Mayor for the City of Berkeley.

Throughout their career, Polk has also held positions such as Community Engagement Consultant, Vice Chair of the Community Environmental Advisory Commission in Berkeley, and Assistant Consultant for the Oakland Unified School District. Dyana Marie has demonstrated a commitment to community development and youth empowerment through their role as the Associate Executive Director for Homies Organizing the Mission to Empower Youth (HOMEY), a non-profit organization based in San Francisco.

Polk has also worked in the field of policy management and research, holding positions such as Policy Manager for the Clean Coalition and Executive Research Assistant for The Greenlining Institute. Dyana Marie began their career as a Policy Intern in the Office of Congressman Dennis Cardoza. Throughout their various roles, Polk has gained experience in policy analysis, community engagement, campaign management, and coalition building.

Dyana Marie Delfín Polk, MPP completed their education history as follows: Dyana Marie earned an Associate of Arts degree in History and Transfer Studies from Merced Community College District from 2002 to 2006. From 2007 to 2009, they pursued a Bachelor's degree in American History (United States) with a minor in Chicano Studies at the University of California, Berkeley. In 2008, they briefly attended the University of Cambridge, focusing on English Literature and Anthropology. Lastly, from 2010 to 2012, they obtained a Master's degree in Public Policy from Mills College.
