Lorena Escolero is an Urban Planner currently serving as a Planner and Conservation Agent for the City of Revere since April 2023, focusing on economic development, climate resiliency, land use, and housing while enforcing the Massachusetts Wetlands Protection Act. Prior to this, Lorena worked for the City of Medford from August 2019 to March 2023, managing federal funds through the American Rescue Plan Act and holding roles as Procurement Head Clerk and Senior Clerk in Planning Development and Sustainability. Earlier experience includes advocacy for housing rights at Springfield No One Leaves and providing legal support to residents facing housing challenges. Educationally, Lorena obtained a Master's degree in City/Urban, Community and Regional Planning from Northeastern University and a Bachelor's degree in Anthropology from Mount Holyoke College, complemented by study abroad in Political Science and Government at Alma Mater Studiorum – Università di Bologna.
