Dr. Marcelo Peredo has an extensive work experience in the field of information security and technology. Dr. Marcelo currently serves as the Chief Information Security Officer for the City of San José. Prior to this role, they worked as an Adjunct Professor at Coleman University in 2018. In 2017, they held the position of Chief Information Security Officer - San Diego at DXC Technology, where they were responsible for the strategic leadership of the County of San Diego's security program. Later, they pursued a Masters degree in Computer Software Engineering at George Mason University from 2001 to 2002. Dr. Peredo completed their academic journey by earning a Doctor of Information Assurance from the University of Fairfax, specializing in Information Technology, between 2011 and 2017.
