April Jones-Boyle is a seasoned professional in entrepreneurship and innovation, currently serving as the Senior Advisor for Entrepreneurship and Innovation at Velocity Center in the City of Sterling Heights since December 2021. Previously, April founded and served as the Executive Director of Build Institute from December 2014 to December 2020, facilitating grassroots community entrepreneurship. April was also a co-owner of Gold Cash Gold, known for its distinct farmstead cuisine, from October 2011 to March 2020, and founded Komodo Kitchen, a pop-up supper club showcasing Indonesian cuisine, from October 2011 to May 2017. Additionally, April co-founded D:hive and held the position of Director of Small Business Initiatives from August 2011 to December 2014, helping to support businesses in Detroit. April holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology from Wayne State University, completed between 1998 and 2001.
