Laurie Backall

Laurie Backall, MBA has extensive experience in development and support services. Laurie is currently the Managing Director of Development & Support Services at City Year. Prior to this, Laurie served as the Managing Director of Development at City Year Philadelphia from 2014 to 2022. Laurie has also worked at United Way of Rhode Island as the Director of Major Gifts & Women's Leadership Council and as a Major Gifts Officer. Laurie's experience also includes roles at Hill House and Tutoring Plus of Cambridge, where they focused on development and external relations. Laurie began their career as the Parents Program Coordinator at Brandeis University.

Laurie Backall, MBA completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Studies from Northeastern University between 2000 and 2004. Later, they pursued a Masters in Business Administration from Bryant University from 2011 to 2013.
