Marissa Jackson

Marissa Jackson is an experienced professional in the nonprofit sector, currently serving as People and Operations Director at City Year since August 2018. In this role, Marissa manages the People and Operations Manager to ensure the efficient functioning of City Year Buffalo, while overseeing a $225,000 budget and collaborating with the Executive Director on financial progress and strategic goals. Previously, Marissa held positions such as Senior Impact Manager and Senior Impact and Learning Manager, where responsibilities included managing diverse teams of AmeriCorps members in tutoring and mentoring, developing enrichment programs, and facilitating training for teams. With a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from Hope College, Marissa has demonstrated a commitment to supporting student success and enhancing school culture through various innovative programs and collaborative partnerships.
